Well, this will be my last post for a while. We are not moving around as much as we have been and I have decided to just keep my face book page current. If things change I'll be back.

Well the top picture is our new internet dish. No bandwidth here so we went to the sky. The next picture is the walkway to our front door. and then there is my buddy Smoky. He is in his favorite place, my bed. We purchased a new car for Sheri. I get to drive it sometime but mostly for her to buzz around town. 35mpg much better than 10. I'll post pictures next time.

First of all I am so sorry I missed my friend Art's birthday. Happy B day my friend. We were at Friday Harbor with all of our old friends with no cell phone connection. It was our 20th anniversary.
Believe me this was a big one for both of us and we had a great. time. This lowest picture is the Salmon stream that runs by our airstream, October and November they will come up and spoon in this spot. I will take pictures for you. The rest are just of Sheri's planters. She has the yard and gardens looking really nice and we are eating out of the vegetable garden already. I have a bunch of new pic's. for you but I have to go back and finish cutting the grass. Sorry Art.
Oh, new sat Internet, life is good. Cant find how to spell the word for "fish laying eggs".

New Hobby. I joined the local rc club last month and just bought my first rc airplane. This is how it looks new. As I learn to fly I will show pictures of the pieces. The wing span is 47in and since we live in the north west it comes with floats to take off from water. My biggest worry is watching my $200.00 go nose first into the ground. I have a friend in the club who will connect electronically to my control radio to train me and hopefully keep me and the plane in one piece. My other hobby, ham radio is going good as well. We got our storage delivered from Arizona and my large antenna has arrived and is in the air. I have been talking all over Europe and into Japan. Retirement is good.

Spring has sprung and the park looks wonderful. It was full of people this weekend with baseball and basketball games going on every day. We are getting to know a lot of the people who walk the mile trail around the park. The trail goes right by our front gate so we greet as many as we can. Life is good.

While we were loving the 70 deg weather our nephew was at Mammoth skying, looks like fun.

Sunday was Easter and it was 70 deg here in Port Townsend. Our park was busy with families having cook outs and Easter egg hunts. This group had 700 colored eggs and lots of kids to look for them. Sheri says she wasn't looking, you be the judge.

It's cold here! Been in the 20s during the night for the last 3 night's. Had a good weekend with sun during the day and in the 40s. I can't get Sheri out of the garden. She is really having a good time in her yard and flower's are coming up all over the place. I'll get some pictures for later this week. Boating season will be opening soon. Still haven't got my RC airplane. Have to make sure I get the right beginner plane for me.

Here is our Salmon. He stays with this park most of the time, going to parades and events around the county. The fellow below is Dennis. As you can see he is a RC flier and used to have our job here. I'm very interested in this hobby and there is a large group here that fly's often. I hope to be one of them soon.

Well, here we are at our new park. It's a county park just 8 miles south of Port Townsend. There is no charge to use the park and it is open from sun up to sun set. Lots of walking trails and we have our own creek and salmon run. Not bad! Sheri is busy planting flowers and "things". The dog's love it because we have a fenced in yard so they can play. Smoky is barking at everybody who passes by so we have ordered a non invasive no bark colar, we will see. More tomorrow.

So! As I was trying to take my nap this afternoon it suddenly felt like we were sliding off of the cliff just outside our front door. When I looked this is what I saw. They were doing rescue practice on this fine sunny day. It's a perfect place to practice for them. By the way, they did rescue the dummy they threw out the door earlier.

Smoky

Smoky in his favorite place. I can't go out without taking him along. We will be leaving here in two weeks. Got a new job as caretakers of a county park. It's more long term and almost across the street from our ESP park. Sheri will have a fenced in, grass yard and all of the garden she can handle. As soon as we get moved I will post pictures. No ocean views but the park is beautiful.
Well, you cant tell it very well but it's a Stormy day here in the North West. This is looking from the north west down the Hood Canal to the south east. The wind is blowing at 30mph with higher gusts. I never get tired of this view. There aren't a lot of ships out now but when the tied turns they will start to move.

Well, I'm back. I don't know what happened but I couldn't get my pictures to publish. This is a picture of the after torpedo room on the USS Croaker, SSK246. I spent 4 years of my life on this WW2 fleet type submarine. It was one of the best experiences of all time. We are still at Fort Flagler. Winter is still here and we are warm and cozy in the Airstream.
We lost our pet, Barnaby last week. Not sure what happened but Sheri had her for 26 years and its been very hard for both of us. I'll be back with new pictures soon.

For some reason I can't up load pictures from my pic. library. Don't know why but i will explore today. We had a wind storm last night, that was neat. Got to go to bed early. I'll be working on my picture problem today. See you later.

Home sweet home. Notice our new auto sat. dish in front of the Airstream. No more 5 mile trips in and out to find a sig. The middle pic. are some of the officer housing back during WW11. Couldn't forget one of the big guns. It's pointed out over the Hood Canal. We saw a submarine going out yesterday. It's going to be fun watching all of the ships going in and out. I'll post more tomorrow.

The houses were officer housing for the fort and the barracks were where the enlisted men lived. Now they are conference rooms and housing.

Happy new year everybody! We moved yesterday. This is the view out of our front windows and by the way, the weather is always like this here. ha ha.
